ইংরেজীএ INDOLOGY এর মানে কি?
ইন্দোলজি
ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের ইতিহাস এবং সংস্কৃতি, ভাষা ও সাহিত্যের একাডেমিক অধ্যয়ন, এবং যেমনটি এশিয়ান অধ্যয়নের একটি উপসাগার হয়। ইন্ডোজিও ইন্ডিক স্টাডিজ বা ভারতীয় গবেষণা বা দক্ষিণ এশীয় অধ্যয়নের নামেও পরিচিত হতে পারে, যদিও পণ্ডিতরা এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসক কখনও কখনও এই পদগুলির ব্যাখ্যা শুধুমাত্র আংশিকভাবে ওভারল্যাপ করছে। ইন্ডিলজি বা ইন্ডোজির শব্দটি প্রায়ই জার্মান স্কলারশিপের সাথে সম্পর্কযুক্ত হয় এবং ইংরেজী একাডেমিটির তুলনায় জার্মান এবং মহাদেশীয় ইউরোপীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভাগীয় শিরোনামে আরও সাধারণভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। নেদারল্যান্ডের শব্দটি ডাচ ইস্ট ইন্ডিজের ঔপনিবেশিক সেবায় প্রস্তুতির জন্য ইন্দোজিও শব্দটি ইন্দোনেশিয়ার ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতির অধ্যয়নকে নির্দিষ্ট করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়েছিল। বিশেষত, ভারতবর্ষে অন্যান্য ভারতীয় ধর্মের সাথে জৈন ধর্ম, বৌদ্ধ ও পালি সাহিত্য এবং শিখ ধর্মের সাথে সংস্কৃত সাহিত্য ও হিন্দুধর্মের অধ্যয়ন অন্তর্ভুক্ত। দ্রাবিড়শাস্ত্র দক্ষিণ ভারত দ্রাবিড় ভাষার জন্য পৃথক শাখা।
