ম্যাকডোনালাল রেনেসস, একটি অন্তর্বর্তী অস্ট্রেলিয়ান বায়োরিজইজেন, নর্দার্ন টেরিটরিতে অবস্থিত এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়ার কেন্দ্রে অবস্থিত 644 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ পর্বতমালা রয়েছে এবং এলিস স্প্রিংস এর পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমে চলমান সমান্তরাল পর্বতমালাগুলির মধ্যে রয়েছে। পর্বতমালাটিতে অনেক দর্শনীয় ফাঁক রয়েছে এবং আদিবাসী তাত্পর্যও রয়েছে। রেঞ্জার ম্যাকডোনালেলের নাম অনুসারে ম্যাকডৌল স্টুয়ার্ট এর নামকরণ করা হয়, যার 1860 সালের অভিযানে ঐ বছরের এপ্রিল মাসে তাদের কাছে পৌঁছেছিল। সেন্ট্রাল অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বৈজ্ঞানিক অভিযানের অংশ হিসাবে হর্ন এক্সপিডিশন রেঞ্জগুলি পরীক্ষা করে। রেঞ্জের অন্যান্য সন্ধানকারী ডেভিড লিন্ডসে এবং জন রস ম্যাকডোনালর রেঞ্জগুলি প্রায়ই অ্যালবার্ট নমতজিরার পেইন্টিংগুলিতে চিত্রিত করা হতো।
