1936-39 সালে প্যালেস্টাইনের আরব বিদ্রোহের সময় ইহুদি জীবন ও সম্পত্তির প্রতিরক্ষায় সাহায্য করার জন্য নটিম 1936 সালে বাধ্যতামূলক ফিলিস্তিনে ব্রিটিশদের দ্বারা গঠিত একটি ইহুদী পুলিশ বাহিনী ছিলেন। বাহিনী অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ এবং উচ্চতর মোবাইল সেটেলমেন্ট পুলিশে বিভক্ত ছিল। হগন থেকে প্রায় পুরো সদস্য নিয়োগ করা হয়। হিসাবে হাজার হাজার যুবক সামরিক প্রশিক্ষণ তাদের প্রথম অভিজ্ঞতা ছিল, যা Moshe Sherotok এবং Eliyahu Golomb হাগলা হাগার হলেন নীতির ফল হিসাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়। ব্রিটিশ কর্তৃপক্ষ ম্যান্ডেটের শেষ পর্যন্ত নোন্তমকে অর্থায়ন ও আর্থিক সহায়তা দিয়েছিল, যদিও তারা জানত যে এই বাহিনী প্যালেস্টাইন পুলিশ বাহিনীর জন্য নামমাত্রভাবে জবাবদিহিমূলক ছিল, আসলে এটি হাগান কর্তৃক নিয়ন্ত্রিত ছিল। দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পর, নূরিম ইসরায়েলি সামরিক পুলিশের মূল কেন্দ্র হয়ে ওঠে।
