একটি বিষয়সূচি হল, যেগুলি তাদের গ্রহণ করা হবে সে অনুযায়ী বৈঠক কার্যক্রমের একটি তালিকা, আদেশের সাথে এবং স্থগিতাদেশের সমাপ্তির মাধ্যমে শুরু করে। সাধারণত আলোচনা করা ব্যবসায়ের এক বা একাধিক নির্দিষ্ট আইটেম অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে। এটি হতে পারে, এক বা একাধিক কার্যক্রমের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট সময় অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার প্রয়োজন নেই। একটি এজেন্ডা এছাড়াও একটি ডেট বা সময়সূচী বলা যেতে পারে।

অভিধানের দিনের প্রথম সংজ্ঞা হল প্রধানের একজন কমান্ডার বা কমান্ডিং অফিসারের নির্দিষ্ট নির্দেশাবলীর সাধারণ নির্দেশনা। দিনের অর্ডারের অন্যান্য সংজ্ঞা হল প্রদত্ত বা একমাত্র জিনিস যা দেওয়া বা পাওয়া যায়। দিনের অর্ডার এছাড়াও একটি নির্দিষ্ট দিনে বিবেচনা করা আদেশ পাবলিক ব্যবসা আইটেম।
