রাইম ধনুক এক ধরণের শব্দের সাথে অনুরূপ শব্দ, যদি ভিন্ন বানানগুলি। ইংরেজিতে অসদৃশ ফরাসি কবিতাতে, "অভিন্ন ছড়া" শব্দটি সাধারণ, যার মধ্যে কেবল লাইনের ছড়াছড়ি এর চূড়ান্ত সিলাবলের স্বরবর্ণই নয়, তবে তার সূচনা ব্যঞ্জনবিন্দুও রয়েছে। ইংরেজী শব্দের অভ্যস্ত ব্যক্তির কানে, এটি প্রায়ই একটি খুব দুর্বল ছড়া মত শব্দ। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, হোমোফোন, ময়দা এবং ফুলের একটি ইংরেজী কাহিনী দুর্বল বলে মনে হবে, তবে হোমোফোন ও গায়কদের একটি ফরাসি ছড়া কেবল গ্রহণযোগ্য নয় কিন্তু বেশ সাধারণ। Rhymes কখনও কখনও দুটি শব্দ বা দুটি আয়াত অংশে কণ্ঠস্বর শব্দের সংখ্যা অনুযায়ী, "rime pauvre", "rime suffisante", "rime riche" এবং "rime richissime" বিষয়শ্রেণীতে মধ্যে শ্রেণীবদ্ধ করা হয়। উদাহরণস্বরূপ "সাটা" এর সাথে "প্যারা" রাইম "দ্য প্যারাস", "ব্রাস" এর সাথে "ব্র্যা" এবং "ট্যানেন্ট" এর সাথে "সমৃদ্ধ" একটি সমৃদ্ধ ছড়া।
