Achromatisches Objektiv
Eine achromatische Linse oder ein Achromat ist eine Linse, die dazu bestimmt ist, die Auswirkungen der chromatischen und sphärischen Aberration zu begrenzen. Achromatische Linsen werden korrigiert, um zwei Wellenlängen in die gleiche Ebene zu fokussieren. Die häufigste Art von achromat ist das achromatische Dublett, das aus zwei einzelnen Linsen aus Gläsern mit unterschiedlichen Mengen an Dispersion besteht. Typischerweise ist ein Element ein negatives Element aus Flintglas wie F2, das eine relativ hohe Dispersion aufweist, und das andere ist ein positives Element aus Kronglas wie BK7, das eine geringere Dispersion aufweist. Die Linsenelemente sind nebeneinander montiert, oft zusammen zementiert und so geformt, dass die chromatische Aberration von einem durch die des anderen ausgeglichen wird. Bei der gängigsten Art ist die positive Kraft des Kronenlinsenelements nicht ganz durch die negative Kraft des Flintlinsenelements gleich. Zusammen bilden sie eine schwache positive Linse, die zwei verschiedene Wellenlängen des Lichts zu einem gemeinsamen Fokus bringt. Negative Dubletts, in denen das Negativ-Power-Element vorherrscht, werden ebenfalls gemacht.
