Adamit ist ein Zink-Arsenat-Hydroxid-Mineral, Zn2AsO4OH. Es ist ein Mineral, das typischerweise in der oxidierten oder verwitterten Zone über Zinkerz Vorkommen auftritt. Pure Adamit ist farblos, aber in der Regel besitzt es eine gelbe Farbe durch Fe-Mischungen. Tönungen von Grün treten auch auf und sind mit Kupfersubstitutionen in der Mineralstruktur verbunden. Olivenit ist ein Kupfer-Arsenat, das isostrukturell mit Adamit ist, und es besteht eine beträchtliche Substitution zwischen Zink und Kupfer, was zu einem Zwischenprodukt mit dem Namen Cuproadamit führt. Zincolivenit ist ein kürzlich entdecktes Mineral, das ein Zwischenmineral mit der Formel CuZn ist. Mangan, Kobalt und Nickel ersetzen auch die Struktur.
