Analoge Computer können ein sehr breites Spektrum an Komplexität haben. Slide-Regeln und Nomogramme sind die einfachsten, während Marine-Schusswaffenkontrolle Computer und große Hybrid-Digital / Analog-Computer waren unter den kompliziertesten. Systeme zur Prozesssteuerung und Schutzrelais verwendeten analoge Berechnungen zur Steuerung und Schutzfunktionen.
