Antigen
In der Immunologie ist ein Antigen- oder Antikörper-Generator eine Substanz, die eine adaptive Immunantwort hervorruft. Ein Antigen ist oft fremd oder toxisch für den Körper, der einmal im Körper anzieht und an einen jeweiligen und spezifischen Antikörper gebunden ist. Das heißt, ein Antigen ist ein Molekül, das auch eine Immunantwort im Körper induziert. Jeder Antikörper ist speziell entworfen, um bestimmte Antigene aufgrund der Variation in den komplementären Bestimmungsregionen des Antikörpers zu behandeln. Paul Ehrlich prägte den Begriff Antikörper in seiner Seitenkettentheorie Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts. Der Begriff Antigen kam ursprünglich von ANTIbody GENerator. Das Antigen kann aus dem Körper oder aus der äußeren Umgebung stammen. Das Immunsystem ist in der Regel nicht reaktiv gegenüber "Selbst" -Antigenen unter normalen Bedingungen und soll nur "Nicht-Selbst" -Induktoren aus der Außenwelt oder modifizierte / schädliche Substanzen, die im Körper unter verstopften Bedingungen vorhanden sind, identifizieren und angreifen. Zellen präsentieren ihre Antigenstrukturen dem Immunsystem über ein Histokompatibilitätsmolekül.
