Autacoid
Autacoide oder "autocoids" sind biologische Faktoren, die wie lokale Hormone wirken, eine kurze Dauer haben und in der Nähe des Syntheseortes agieren. Das Wort autacoids kommt aus dem griechischen "Autos" und "Acos". Die Wirkung von Autacoiden ist meist lokalisiert, aber große Mengen können produziert und in Umlauf gebracht werden. Autacoide können also durch den Kreislauf systemisch wirken. Diese regulierenden Moleküle werden auch lokal metabolisiert. So werden die Verbindungen lokal produziert, sie handeln lokal und werden lokal metabolisiert. Autacoide können viele verschiedene biologische Aktionen einschließlich der Modulation der Aktivität von glatten Muskeln, Drüsen, Nerven, Blutplättchen und anderen Geweben. Einige andere Autakoide sind in erster Linie durch die Wirkung, die sie auf verschiedene Gewebe, wie glatte Muskeln haben, charakterisiert. In Bezug auf vaskuläre glatte Muskeln gibt es sowohl Vasokonstriktor und Vasodilatator Autacoide. Vasodilator autacoids können während der Übung freigegeben werden.
