Avionik
Avionik sind die elektronischen Systeme für Flugzeuge, künstliche Satelliten und Raumfahrzeuge. Avionic-Systeme umfassen Kommunikation, Navigation, die Anzeige und Verwaltung von mehreren Systemen und die Hunderte von Systemen, die an Flugzeugen angebracht sind, um einzelne Funktionen auszuführen. Diese können so einfach sein wie ein Suchscheinwerfer für einen Polizeihubschrauber oder so kompliziert wie das taktische System für eine luftgetragene Frühwarnplattform. Der Begriff Avionik ist ein Portmanteau der Worte Luftfahrt und Elektronik.
