Komplementäre DNA
In der Genetik wird komplementäre DNA DNA, die aus einer Boten-RNA-Matrize synthetisiert wird, in einer Reaktion, die durch die Enzyme reverse Transkriptase und DNA-Polymerase katalysiert wird, synthetisiert. CDNA wird oft verwendet, um eukaryotische Gene in Prokaryonten zu klonieren. Wenn Wissenschaftler ein bestimmtes Protein in einer Zelle exprimieren wollen, die normalerweise kein Protein exprimiert, werden sie die cDNA, die für das Protein codiert, an die Empfängerzelle übertragen.
