Kolligative Eigenschaften
In der Chemie sind kolligative Eigenschaften Eigenschaften von Lösungen, die von dem Verhältnis der Anzahl der gelösten Teilchen zu der Anzahl der Lösungsmittelmoleküle in einer Lösung und nicht von der Art der vorhandenen chemischen Spezies abhängen. Dieses Zahlenverhältnis kann mit den verschiedenen Einheiten für die Konzentration der Lösungen in Verbindung gebracht werden. Hier betrachten wir nur jene Eigenschaften, die sich aus der Auflösung von nichtflüchtigem gelösten Stoff in einem flüchtigen flüssigen Lösungsmittel ergeben. Sie sind unabhängig von der Art der gelösten Teilchen und sind im wesentlichen auf die Verdünnung des Lösungsmittels durch den gelösten Stoff zurückzuführen. Das Wort Colligative wird aus der lateinischen colligatus Bedeutung, die zusammen gebunden ist, abgeleitet. Zu den kolligativen Eigenschaften gehören: ▪ Relative Absenkung des Dampfdrucks ▪ Erhöhung des Siedepunktes ▪ Depression des Gefrierpunktes ▪ Osmotischer Druck. Die Messung der kolligativen Eigenschaften für eine verdünnte Lösung eines nichtionisierten gelösten Stoffes wie Harnstoff oder Glukose in Wasser oder einem anderen Lösungsmittel kann zu Bestimmungen von relativen Molmassen sowohl für kleine Moleküle als auch für Polymere führen, die nicht mit anderen Mitteln untersucht werden können.
