Trigonometrische Funktionen
In der Mathematik sind die trigonometrischen Funktionen Funktionen eines Winkels. Sie beziehen die Winkel eines Dreiecks auf die Längen ihrer Seiten. Trigonometrische Funktionen sind wichtig bei der Untersuchung von Dreiecken und Modellierung periodischer Phänomene, unter vielen anderen Anwendungen. Die bekanntesten trigonometrischen Funktionen sind der Sinus, Kosinus und Tangente. Im Zusammenhang mit dem Standard-Einheitskreis, wo ein Dreieck durch einen Strahl gebildet wird, der am Ursprung entsteht und einen Winkel mit der x-Achse bildet, gibt der Sinus des Winkels die Länge der y-Komponente des Dreiecks, des Kosinus Gibt die Länge der x-Komponente, und die Tangentenfunktion gibt die Steigung. Genauere Definitionen sind unten detailliert. Trigonometrische Funktionen sind üblicherweise als Verhältnisse von zwei Seiten eines rechten Dreiecks definiert, die den Winkel enthalten und können äquivalent als die Längen verschiedener Liniensegmente von einem Einheitskreis definiert werden. Moderne Definitionen drückten sie als unendliche Reihen oder als Lösungen bestimmter Differentialgleichungen aus und erlauben ihre Ausdehnung auf beliebige positive und negative Werte und sogar auf komplexe Zahlen.
