Exzellenz ist ein ehrenhafter Stil, der bestimmten Mitgliedern einer Organisation oder eines Staates gegeben wird. In Bezug auf einen solchen Beamten nimmt er die Form seiner Exzellenz an; In direkter adresse, Exzellenz, oder, weniger formell, einfach Exzellenz. Die Abkürzung HE wird oft anstelle von Seiner Exzellenz verwendet; Alternativ kann es für seine Eminenz stehen.
