Extrapolation

In der Mathematik ist die Extrapolation der Prozeß, über den ursprünglichen Beobachtungsbereich hinaus den Wert einer Variablen auf der Grundlage ihrer Beziehung zu einer anderen Variablen zu schätzen. Es ist ähnlich wie die Interpolation, die Schätzungen zwischen bekannten Beobachtungen erzeugt, aber die Extrapolation unterliegt einer größeren Unsicherheit und einem höheren Risiko, sinnlose Ergebnisse zu erzeugen. Die Extrapolation kann auch eine Erweiterung einer Methode bedeuten, vorausgesetzt, dass ähnliche Methoden anwendbar sind. Die Extrapolation kann auch für die menschliche Erfahrung gelten, um die erwartete Erfahrung in einen Bereich zu projizieren, zu erweitern oder zu erweitern, der nicht bekannt oder zuvor erlebt wurde, um zu einer Kenntnis des Unbekannten zu gelangen.
