Fluorid / flʊəraɪd / ist ein anorganisches Anion von Fluor mit der chemischen Formel F-. Es trägt keine Farbe zu Fluoridsalzen bei. Fluorid ist die Hauptkomponente von Fluorit und trägt einen unverwechselbaren bitteren Geschmack, aber keinen Geruch zu Fluoridsalzen bei. Seine Salze werden hauptsächlich als Vorläufer von Fluorwasserstoff abgebaut. Da es als schwache Base eingestuft wird, werden konzentrierte Fluoridlösungen Hautreizungen verursachen. Fluorid ist das einfachste unäre Fluoranion, das andere ist das vorläufig untersuchte Trifluorat-Anion.
