Graves ist eine wichtige Unterregion der Weinregion Bordeaux. Graves liegt am linken Ufer der Garonne, im vorgelagerten Teil der Region, südöstlich der Stadt Bordeaux und erstreckt sich über 50 Kilometer. Graves ist die einzige Bordeaux-Subregion, die für alle drei von Bordeaux 'drei Hauptweinarten - Rottöne, Trockenweiß und Süßweine - berühmt ist - obwohl Rotweine die Gesamtproduktion dominieren. Graves AOC ist auch der Name einer Appellation d'origine contrôlée, die die meisten, aber nicht alle der Graves subregion bedeckt.
