Eine parasitäre Pflanze ist eine, die einige oder alle ihrer Ernährungsanforderungen von einer anderen lebenden Pflanze ableitet. Alle parasitären Pflanzen haben spezielle Organe namens Haustoria, die sie mit dem leitfähigen System ihres Wirts verbinden und ihnen die Möglichkeit bieten, Wasser und Nährstoff von den Wirten zu extrahieren.
