Impfung
Impfung war eine historische Methode zur Verhinderung von Pocken durch absichtliche Einführung in die Haut des Materials aus Pockenpusteln. Dies führte in der Regel zu einer weniger schweren Infektion als natürlich erworbene Pocken, aber immer noch Immunität dazu verursacht. Der Begriff trat medizinisch Englisch durch Gartenbau Nutzung bedeutet, um eine Knospe von einer Pflanze in eine andere zu pfropfen. Es stammt aus dem Latein in + oculus.
