ISCSI
In Computing, iSCSI, ist ein Akronym für Internet Small Computer System Interface, ein Internet-Protokoll-basierte Storage-Netzwerk-Standard für die Verknüpfung von Datenspeichern. Durch das Tragen von SCSI-Befehlen über IP-Netzwerke wird iSCSI verwendet, um Datenübertragungen über Intranets zu erleichtern und die Speicherung über lange Distanzen zu verwalten. ISCSI kann verwendet werden, um Daten über lokale Netzwerke, Wide Area Networks oder das Internet zu übertragen und kann eine ortsunabhängige Datenspeicherung und -abfrage ermöglichen. Das Protokoll ermöglicht es Clients, SCSI-Befehle an SCSI-Speichergeräte auf entfernten Servern zu senden. Es ist ein Speicherbereich Netzwerk-Protokoll, so dass Organisationen zu konsolidieren Speicher in Rechenzentrum Speicher-Arrays, während die Bereitstellung von Hosts mit der Illusion von lokal angeschlossenen Festplatten.
