Layamon oder Laghamon, buchstabiert Laȝamon oder Laȝamonn in seiner Zeit, gelegentlich geschrieben Lawman, war ein Dichter des späten 12. / frühen 13. Jahrhunderts und Autor des Brut, ein bemerkenswertes englisches Gedicht, das die erste englischsprachige Arbeit war, um die Legenden zu besprechen Arthur und die Ritter des Runden Tisches. Layamon beschreibt sich in seinem Gedicht als Priester und wohnt bei Areley Kings in Worcestershire.
