Pauropoda
Pauropoden sind kleine, blasse, tausendfüßige Arthropoden. Sie bilden die Ordnung Pauropodina, die zur monotypischen Klasse Pauropoda gehört. Über 500 Arten in vier Familien finden sich weltweit, leben in Boden und Blatt Schimmel. Sie sehen eher wie Tausendfüßler aus, aber sind wahrscheinlich die Schwestergruppe zu Tausendfüßern. Der Name stammt aus den griechischen Wurzeln pauro "wenige" und podo "Fuß".
