Pin-up Mädchen
Ein Pin-up-Mädchen, auch bekannt als Pin-up-Modell, ist ein Modell, dessen Massen-produzierte Bilder breite Anziehungskraft als populäre Kultur sehen. Pin-ups sind für eine informelle Anzeige vorgesehen, z.B. Wollte an einer Mauer "gepinnt" werden. Pin-up-Mädchen können Glamour-Modelle, Models oder Schauspielerinnen sein. Diese Bilder sind auch als Käsekuchenfotos bekannt. Der Begriff Pin-up kann sich auch auf Zeichnungen, Gemälde und andere Illustrationen beziehen, die bei der Emulation dieser Fotos gemacht wurden. Der Begriff wurde erstmals 1941 in englischer Sprache bezeugt; Allerdings ist die Praxis zumindest bis in die 1890er Jahre dokumentiert. Die Pin-up-Bilder könnten aus Zeitschriften oder Zeitungen herausgeschnitten werden, oder aus Postkarten oder Chrom-Lithographien und so weiter. Solche Fotos erscheinen oft auf den Kalendern, die sowieso aufgehoben werden sollen. Später wurden Plakate von Pin-up-Mädchen Massenproduktion und wurden ein sofortiger Hit. Als sich die Sozialstandards änderten, begannen auch männliche Fächer in Pin-ups zu sein.
