Pinworm
Der Pinworm, auch bekannt als Fadenwurm oder Sitzwurm, ist ein parasitärer Wurm. Es ist ein Nematoden und ein gewöhnlicher Darm-Parasit, besonders bei Menschen. Der medizinische Zustand, der mit Pinworm-Befall assoziiert ist, wird als Enterobiasis oder weniger genau als Oxyuriasis in Bezug auf die Familie Oxyuridae bezeichnet. In diesem Artikel bezieht sich das Wort Pinworm auf Enterobius. Bei der britischen Verwendung bezieht sich Pinworm jedoch auf Strongyloides, während Enterobius Fadenwurm genannt wird.
