Polder
Ein Polder ist ein tiefliegender Landstrich, der von Böden umgeben ist, die als Deiche bekannt sind, die eine künstliche hydrologische Einheit bilden, was bedeutet, dass sie keine Verbindung mit außerhalb des Wassers hat, außer durch manuell betriebene Geräte. Es gibt drei Arten von Polder: ▪ Land, das aus einem Gewässer zurückgewonnen wird, wie zB ein See oder das Meeresbett ▪ Hochwasserschienen, die durch einen Deich vom Meer oder Fluss getrennt sind ▪ Sümpfe, die durch einen Deich vom umgebenden Wasser getrennt sind und anschließend abtropfen lassen Bodenniveau in abgelassenen Sümpfen im Laufe der Zeit und damit alle Polder werden schließlich unter dem umgebenden Wasserstand einige oder die ganze Zeit. Wasser tritt durch den Wasserdruck des Grundwassers oder Niederschlags oder den Transport von Wasser durch Flüsse und Kanäle in den tiefliegenden Polder ein. Dies bedeutet in der Regel, dass der Polder einen Überschuss an Wasser hat, der ausgepumpt oder abgelassen wird, indem man Schleusen bei Ebbe öffnet. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass der interne Wasserstand nicht zu niedrig eingestellt wird. Polderland, das aus Torf besteht, wird in Bezug auf seine vorherige Ebene sinken, weil der Torf sich unter trockenen Bedingungen zersetzt. Polder sind jederzeit von Überschwemmungen bedroht und es muss darauf geachtet werden, die umliegenden Deiche zu schützen.
