Poundage
In englischem Recht war das Pfund ein Ad-Valorem-Zollsatz, der auf Einfuhren und Ausfuhren in Höhe von 1 Schilling für jedes Pfund von Waren importiert oder exportiert wurde. Die Abgabe wurde im Jahre 1347 eingeführt und setzte sich für viele Jahre in der gleichen Rate bis nach der Wiederherstellung aus, wenn das Parlament die Preise nach aktuellen Bedürfnissen gesetzt. Poundage war eng mit Tonnage verbunden, oder Tunnage, die eine Pflicht auf jede Wein-Wein importiert wurde.
