Prag (/ prɑːɡ /; Tschechien: Praha ausgesprochen (hören)) ist die Hauptstadt und größte Stadt der Tschechischen Republik. Es ist die vierzehnte größte Stadt in der Europäischen Union. Es ist auch die historische Hauptstadt Böhmens. Es war eine wichtige Stadt für die Habsburger Monarchie und ihr österreichisch-ungarisches Reich und nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wurde die Hauptstadt der Tschechoslowakei. Die Stadt spielte in der protestantischen Reformation, im Dreißigjährigen Krieg und in der Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts während der Weltkriege und der Kommunistischen Zeit nach dem Krieg eine große Rolle.
