Praxeologie
Praxeology (Gr πρᾶξις (praxis) "action", λόγος (logos) "talk, speech") ist die deduktive Studie des menschlichen Handelns auf der Grundlage der Tatsache, dass die Menschen in zielgerichtetes Verhalten, im Gegensatz zu reflexiven Verhalten wie Niesen und unbelebtes Verhalten . Mit diesem sogenannten Aktionsaxiom als Ausgangspunkt ist es möglich, Rückschlüsse auf menschliches Verhalten zu ziehen, die sowohl objektiv als auch universell sind. Zum Beispiel bedeutet die Vorstellung, dass Menschen in Handlungen der Wahl engagieren, dass sie Präferenzen haben, und das muss für jeden, der vorsätzliches Verhalten zeigt, wahr sein. Die häufigste Verwendung des Begriffs steht im Zusammenhang mit der österreichischen Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, wie sie vom Ökonomen Ludwig von Mises gegründet wurde.
