Cambridge Pre-U ist eine neue britische Qualifikation von Cambridge International Examinations, die eine Alternative zur aktuellen A-Level-Qualifikation ist. Es handelt sich um eine Diplom-Qualifikation, die sich vor allem an Schüler im Alter von 16-19 Jahren richtet und Anerkennung für den Hochschulzugang hat. Cambridge Pre-U wurde im September 2008 gestartet, für die erste Bewertung im Jahr 2010. Eine Reihe von unabhängigen Schulen wie Downe House School, Charterhouse School, Cranleigh School, Westminster School, Winchester College, Oundle School, Christus Hospital, Dulwich College, Shrewsbury School , Rugby School und Eton College haben A-Levels mit Cambridge Pre-Us in einigen Themen ersetzt. Sie sind mit Grammatik und umfassenden Schulen verbunden, und sechsten Hochschulen wie Simon Langton Girls 'Grammar School, Wimbledon College, Coloma Convent Girls' School, König Edward VI Schule, Kardinal Vaughan Memorial School, Watford Grammar School für Mädchen, Simon Langton Grammatik Schule für Jungen und Lancaster Royal Grammar School. Chavagnes International College, eine britische Schule in Kenia, Hillcrest Secondary School, wechselte im Jahr 2011 zu Pre-U und war damit das erste Zentrum für diese Prüfungen außerhalb des Vereinigten Königreichs.
