Stapel (abstrakter Datentyp)
In der Informatik ist ein Stapel eine besondere Art von abstrakten Datentyp oder Sammlung, in denen die wichtigsten Operationen auf der Sammlung sind die Hinzufügung einer Entität zur Sammlung, bekannt als Push-und Entfernung einer Entität, bekannt als Pop. Die Beziehung zwischen den Push- und Pop-Operationen ist so, dass der Stack eine Last-In-First-Out-Datenstruktur ist. In einer LIFO-Datenstruktur muss das letzte Element, das der Struktur hinzugefügt wurde, das erste sein, das entfernt werden soll. Dies entspricht der Anforderung, dass, als lineare Datenstruktur oder abstrakter eine sequentielle Sammlung betrachtet, die Push- und Pop-Operationen nur an einem Ende der Struktur auftreten, die als die Oberseite des Stapels bezeichnet wird. Oft wird auch ein Peek- oder Top-Betrieb implementiert, der den Wert des Top-Elements zurückgibt, ohne ihn zu entfernen. Ein Stapel kann implementiert werden, um eine begrenzte Kapazität zu haben. Wenn der Stapel voll ist und nicht genügend Platz enthält, um eine zu schiebende Entität zu akzeptieren, gilt der Stapel dann als Überlaufzustand. Der Pop-Vorgang entfernt ein Element aus der Oberseite des Stapels.
