Radar
Radar ist ein Objekterkennungssystem, das Funkwellen verwendet, um den Bereich, die Höhe, die Richtung oder die Geschwindigkeit der Objekte zu bestimmen. Es kann verwendet werden, um Flugzeuge, Schiffe, Raumfahrzeuge, Lenkflugkörper, Kraftfahrzeuge, Wetterformationen und Gelände zu erkennen. Die Radarschale oder Antenne überträgt Impulse von Funkwellen oder Mikrowellen, die jegliches Objekt in ihrem Weg abprallen. Die Definition von Radar im Wörterbuch ist ein Verfahren zum Erfassen der Position und Geschwindigkeit eines entfernten Objekts, wie eines Flugzeugs. Ein schmaler Strahl von extrem hochfrequenten Funkimpulsen wird durch das Objekt zurück zum Sender übertragen und reflektiert, wobei das Signal auf einem Radarscope angezeigt. Die Richtung des reflektierten Strahls und die Zeit zwischen Senden und Empfangen eines Pulses bestimmen die Position des Objekts. Ehemaliger Name: radioaktive Lokalisierung. Andere Definition von Radar ist die Ausrüstung, die bei einer solchen Erfassung verwendet wird.
