Rose-ringed Parakeet
Der Rose-Ringed Parakeet, auch bekannt als Ring-necked Parakeet, ist eine gesellige tropische afro-asiatische Parakeet-Spezies, die eine extrem große Auswahl hat. Da die Tendenz der Bevölkerung zunehmend ansteigt, wurde die Spezies im Jahr 2012 als Least Concern von IUCN ausgewertet. Rose-ringed Parakeets sind als Haustiere beliebt. Der wissenschaftliche Name erinnert an den österreichischen Naturforscher Wilhelm Heinrich Kramer. Diese nicht wandernde Spezies ist eine von wenigen Papageienarten, die sich erfolgreich in "gestörten Lebensräumen" leben lassen und so dem Angriff der Urbanisierung und Entwaldung standhalten.
