Ringside
Ringside ist eine Indie-Rock-Band aus Hollywood, Kalifornien, die ursprünglich in Los Angeles gegründet wurde. Sie spezialisieren sich darauf, Indie Rock mit elektronischen Beats zu verschmelzen. Die Band besteht aus Scott Thomas ,, Kirk Hellie, Sandy Chila, Max Allyn und Schauspieler Balthazar Getty, der sich als Beatmaker und Produzent verdoppelt. Scott Thomas 'Inspiration kam von Künstlern wie The Stooges, The Clash, T. Rex und Depeche Mode. Thomas arbeitete schließlich mit Getty zusammen, der bereits Schläge für unterirdische Hip-Hop-Gruppen machte. Ihr Debütalbum Ringside wurde am 19. April 2005 unter Fred Dursts Label Flawless Records und Geffen Records veröffentlicht, wobei die Single "Tired of Being Sorry" einen moderaten Erfolg erzielte. Das Lied wurde später von Sänger / Songwriter Enrique Iglesias auf seinem achten Album Insomniac abgedeckt und wurde als Single in Europa veröffentlicht. Auch das gleiche Lied, "Tired of Being Sorry" wurde auf dem Film Her Minor Thing vorgestellt. Der Song "Struggle" aus ihrem selbstbetitelten Album wurde auf einem Pontiac Torrent-Truck, dem Film Doom und der TV-Serie Six Feet Under, gezeigt. Die Strecke erschien auch kurz auf der Ambient Playliste der Schecter Guitars Website.
