Shaivismus
Saivam oder Shaivismus oder Saivismus, ist einer der vier am weitesten verbreiteten Sekten des Hinduismus, der den Gott Shiva als das Höchste Wesen verehrt. Die Anhänger von Shaivam, genannt "Shaivas", und auch "Saivas" oder "Shaivites", "Saivarkal", glauben, dass Shiva All und in allem der Schöpfer, der Erhalter, der Zerstörer, der Offenbarer und der Concealer von allem, was ist. Der Shaivismus ist in Indien, Nepal und Sri Lanka weit verbreitet.
