Überflüssigkeit
Überflüssigkeit ist ein Zustand der Materie, in dem sich die Materie wie eine Flüssigkeit mit Nullviskosität verhält; Wo es scheint, die Fähigkeit zu zeigen, sich selbst zu treiben und zu reisen, in einer Weise, die den Kräften der Schwerkraft und der Oberflächenspannung entgeht. Während diese Eigenschaft ursprünglich in flüssigem Helium entdeckt wurde, findet man auch in der Astrophysik, der hochenergetischen Physik und den Theorien der Quantengravitation. Das Phänomen bezieht sich auf die Bose-Einstein-Kondensation, ist aber nicht identisch: Nicht alle Bose-Einstein-Kondensate können als Superfluide betrachtet werden, und nicht alle Superfluide sind Bose-Einstein-Kondensate. Abb. 1. Helium II wird "entlang der Flächen" kriechen, um seine eigene Ebene zu finden - nach einer kurzen Weile werden die Ebenen in den beiden Containern ausgeglichen. Der Rollin-Film deckt auch den Innenraum des größeren Containers ab; Wenn es nicht versiegelt wäre, würde das Helium II herauskriechen und entkommen. Abb. 2. Das flüssige Helium befindet sich in der Superfluidphase. Solange es überflüssig bleibt, kriecht es die Wand des Bechers als Dünnfilm. Es kommt auf die Außenseite, bildet einen Tropfen, der in die Flüssigkeit unten fallen wird. Ein weiterer Tropfen wird sich bilden - und so weiter - bis die Tasse leer ist.
