Synästhesie
Synästhesie ist ein neurologisches Phänomen, bei dem die Stimulation eines sensorischen oder kognitiven Weges zu automatischen, unfreiwilligen Erfahrungen in einem zweiten sensorischen oder kognitiven Weg führt. Menschen, die solche Erfahrungen melden, werden als Synästhesisten bezeichnet. Schwierigkeiten wurden bei der adäquaten Definition der Synästhesie erkannt: Viele verschiedene Phänomene wurden in den Begriff Synästhesie aufgenommen, und in vielen Fällen scheint die Terminologie ungenau zu sein. Ein genauer Begriff kann Ideasthesie sein. In einer gemeinsamen Form der Synästhesie, bekannt als Graphem → Farbsynästhesie oder farbgraphemische Synästhesie, werden Buchstaben oder Zahlen als inhärent gefärbt wahrgenommen. In räumlicher Reihenfolge oder Zahlenform Synästhesie, Zahlen, Monate des Jahres und / oder Tage der Woche entstehen präzise Orte im Raum oder können als dreidimensionale Karte erscheinen. Nur ein Bruchteil der Arten der Synästhesie wurde durch wissenschaftliche Forschung bewertet. Das Bewusstsein der synästhetischen Wahrnehmung variiert von Person zu Person. Obwohl die Synästhesie das Thema der intensiven wissenschaftlichen Erforschung im späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert war, wurde sie weitgehend von der wissenschaftlichen Forschung Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts aufgegeben.
