Tanger
Tanger oder Tanger ist eine bedeutende Stadt im Norden Marokkos mit einer Bevölkerung von etwa 850.000. Es liegt an der nordafrikanischen Küste am westlichen Eingang zur Straße von Gibraltar, wo das Mittelmeer den Atlantischen Ozean von Cape Spartel trifft. Es ist die Hauptstadt der Tanger-Tetouan-Region und der Tangier-Asilah-Präfektur von Marokko. Die Geschichte von Tanger ist sehr reich wegen der historischen Präsenz vieler Zivilisationen und Kulturen ab dem 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr. Zwischen der Periode der strategischen Berberstadt und dann eines phönizischen Handelszentrums zur Unabhängigkeitsära um die 1950er Jahre war Tanger eine Zuflucht für viele Kulturen. Im Jahr 1923 wurde Tanger als internationaler Status von ausländischen Kolonialmächten angesehen und wurde ein Ziel für viele europäische und amerikanische Diplomaten, Spione, Schriftsteller und Geschäftsleute. Die Stadt befindet sich derzeit in einer rasanten Entwicklung und Modernisierung. Zu den Projekten gehören neue touristische Projekte entlang der Bucht, ein modernes Geschäftsviertel mit dem Namen Tangier City Centre, ein neues Flughafen-Terminal und ein neues Fußballstadion. Die Tanger-Wirtschaft wird auch von dem neuen Tanger-Med-Hafen stark profitieren.
