Teheran (Aussprache (Hilfe · Info)) (Persisch: تهران) ist die Hauptstadt des Iran und der Teheraner Provinz. Mit einer Bevölkerung von rund 8,3 Millionen und einer Überwindung von 14 Millionen in der breiteren Metropolregion ist Teheran das größte Stadt- und Stadtgebiet des Iran und die größte Stadt in Westasien.
