Thermistor
Ein Thermistor ist ein Widerstandstyp, dessen Widerstand sich wesentlich mit der Temperatur ändert, mehr als bei Standardwiderständen. Das Wort ist ein Portmanteau von Wärme und Widerstand. Thermistoren unterscheiden sich von Widerstandstemperaturdetektoren dadurch, dass das in einem Thermistor verwendete Material im Allgemeinen ein Keramik oder Polymer ist, während RTDs reine Metalle verwenden. Die Temperaturreaktion ist auch anders; RTDs sind über größere Temperaturbereiche nützlich, während Thermistoren typischerweise eine höhere Genauigkeit innerhalb eines begrenzten Temperaturbereichs, typischerweise -90 ° C bis 130 ° C, erreichen.
