Trochoid
Trochoid leitet sich aus dem griechischen Wort für Rad, "Trokhos". In diesem Sinne wurde das Wort "Trochoid" von Gilles de Roberval für die von einem festen Punkt beschriebene Kurve geprägt, als ein Kreis entlang einer Geraden rollt.
