Typhlosole
Eine Typhlosole ist eine innere Falte der Darm- oder Darminnenwand. Typhlosole treten in Muscheln, Laternen und einigen Anneliden und Stachelhäutern auf. In Regenwürmern ist es eine dorsale Klappe des Darms, die entlang der meisten seiner Länge verläuft, effektiv bilden ein Rohr in einem Rohr, und die Erhöhung der Absorptionsfläche durch die seiner inneren Oberfläche. Seine Funktion ist es, die Darmoberfläche für eine effizientere Absorption von verdauten Nährstoffen zu erhöhen. In verschiedenen Regenwurmfamilien scheint die Typhlosole mehrere Ursprünge zu haben. Die Lumbricidae haben zum Beispiel ein Typhlosol, das eine Infusion aller Schichten der Darmwand ist, während es in einigen anderen Familien eine Infusion nur der inneren Schicht ist, und bei vielen Regenwürmern fehlt es.
