Peptide Ein Peptid, in dem eine Carboxylgruppe (-COOH) einer Aminosäure und eine Aminogruppe (-NH2) einer anderen Aminosäure dehydratisiert und gebunden sind, und die Bindung wird als eine Peptidbindung bezeichnet. Wenn eine große Anzahl von Aminosäuren an ein Peptid gebunden ist, werden das Oligopeptid (Aminosäurereste 2 bis 10), das Polypeptid (10 bis 50) und das Protein (mehr als 50) ebenfalls durch die Anzahl der Aminosäurereste bezeichnet. Im Fall gewöhnlicher Peptide beträgt die Anzahl der Aminosäurereste 100 oder weniger. 펩타이드 아미노산의 카르복실기(-COOH)와 다른 아미노산의 아미노기(-NH2)가 탈수해서 결합한 것을 펩티드, 그 결합을 펩티드 결합이라고 한다. 다수의 아미노산이 펩티드 결합한 경우, 아미노산 잔기의 수에 의해서 올리그 펩티드(아미노산 잔기가 2~10), 폴리펩티드(10~50), 단백질(50이상)이라고도 한다. 보통 펩티드라고 하는 경우에 는 아미노산 잔기의 수가 100이하의 것을 가르킨다.
