Pausanias, Greek Παυσανίας, for the distinction of other bearers of the name sometimes Pausanias Periegetes "the Perieget", was a Greek writer and geographer. Pausanias is, however, due to many corresponding information also to the historians. Pausanias, griechisch Παυσανίας, zur Unterscheidung von anderen Trägern des Namens mitunter Pausanias Periegetes „der Perieget“ genannt, war ein griechischer Schriftsteller und Geograph. Pausanias wird aber aufgrund vieler entsprechender Informationen auch zu den Historikern gerechnet.
