Periderm

The periderm is the secondary end tissue at the shoot axis and the tertiary end tissue in the root. The tissue complex is composed of: ▪ cork, dead, multi-layered tissue ▪ cork cambium, single-layered meristem ▪ phelloderm, a partial multilayer, parenchymatic, often photosynthetically active tissue Walls of the cork cell are alternately impregnated with suberine and cutin. Das Periderm ist das sekundäre Abschlussgewebe bei Sprossachse und das tertiäre Abschlussgewebe in der Wurzel. Der Gewebekomplex ist von außen nach innen aufgebaut aus: ▪ Kork, totes, mehrschichtiges Gewebe ▪ Korkkambium, einschichtiges Meristem ▪ Phelloderm, ein teilweise mehrschichtiges, parenchymatisches, oft photosynthetisch aktives Gewebe Wände der Korkzelle sind abwechselnd mit Suberin und Cutin imprägniert.
