prenatal

Pränatal

The terms prenatal, prepartal, antenatal and antepartal mean "before birth". They are composed of the Latin prefixes ante-ante- "before" and the adjective natalis "birth-giving birth" or the noun partus, -ūs "Gebare" In prenatal medicine - such physical and psychological changes, as well as in pregnancies and the fetus caused by pregnancy and imminent birth. Prenatal diagnosis is the examination of the unborn child and of the pregnant women, prenatal medicine is the prenatal examination and treatment The term perinatal or peripartal is used for events that occur around the birth period, ie shortly before or after birth, for postnatal or postpartum events or postnatal conditions.
