Z. Magazine Marxist Renewal
The Z. Zeitschrift Marxistische Renewed is a theoretical-political quarter-period magazine, which in 1990 belonged to the DKP's former "Erneuerer-Fluss" (DKP) and to the DKP Institute for Marxist Studies and Research in Frankfurt am Main. The initiator was the economist and former IMSF Director Heinz Jung. It appears in A5 format with about 200 pages. The main focus of the individual booklets is on current discussions of the anticapitalist left. The founders took the initiative to contribute to the pluralistic, undogmatic renewal of Marxist thought after the collapse of "real socialism". Due to the origin, a large proportion of the authors from the DKP and their former sympathizers, including the former left-wing social democrat, originate from today's linkspartei and circles of trade-minded intellectuals. At the same time, the Z is open to new currents of the left. In addition to contributions from German and German-speaking authors, Z often also prints translations of texts by Marxist theorists from other countries.
