Colditz is a town in the Free State of Saxony, Germany, near Leipzig, located on the banks of the river Zwickauer Mulde. The town has a population of 5,188. The town is best known for Colditz Castle, which was used as a prisoner-of-war camp during World War I and again in World War II, during which the camp was titled Oflag IV-C.
