WHAT DOES MAGNETIC MEAN IN ENGLISH?

magnetic

Magnetism

Magnetism is a class of physical phenomenon that includes forces exerted by magnets on other magnets. It has its origin in electric currents and the fundamental magnetic moments of elementary particles. These give rise to a magnetic field that acts on other currents and moments. All materials are influenced to some extent by a magnetic field. The strongest effect is on permanent magnets, which have persistent magnetic moments caused by ferromagnetism. Most materials do not have permanent moments. Some are attracted to a magnetic field; others are repulsed by a magnetic field; others have a much more complex relationship with an applied magnetic field. Substances that are negligibly affected by magnetic fields are known as non-magnetic substances. They include copper, aluminium, gases, and plastic. Pure oxygen exhibits magnetic properties when cooled to a liquid state. The magnetic state of a material depends on temperature so that a material may exhibit more than one form of magnetism depending on its temperature, etc.

Definition of magnetic in the English dictionary

The first definition of magnetic in the dictionary is of, producing, or operated by means of magnetism. Other definition of magnetic is of or concerned with a magnet. Magnetic is also of or concerned with the magnetism of the earth.

I think in the old days, the nexus of weirdness ran through Southern California, and to a degree New York City. I think it's changed so that every bizarre story in the country now has a Florida connection. I don't know why, except it must be some inversion of magnetic poles or something.
