WHAT DOES STEARIN MEAN IN ENGLISH?

Stearin

Stearin /ˈstɪərɨn/, or tristearin, or glyceryl tristearate is a triglyceride derived from three units of stearic acid. Most triglycerides are derived from at least two and more commonly three different fatty acids. Like other triglycerides, stearin can crystallise in three polymorphs. For stearin, these melt at 54, 65, and 72.5 °C.

The first definition of stearin in the dictionary is Also called: tristearin. a colourless crystalline ester of glycerol and stearic acid, present in fats and used in soap and candles; glycerol tristearate; glycerol trioctadecanoate. Formula: 3C3H5. Other definition of stearin is another name for stearic acid, esp a commercial grade containing other fatty acids. Stearin is also fat in its solid form.
